Description
Hidden in plain sight, enter the walls of Villa Bologna, and behold Malta’s finest baroque garden. This enchanting Villa is nestled in quaint Attard, and is perfect for both Civil and Indian Weddings. Built in 1975 by Fabrizio Grech as a wedding gift for his daughter, and still lived in to the present day, by successors of the family that constructed the Villa.
The venue’s central location makes it easily accessible from both the North and South of the island, and is around 15 minutes to the west of Valletta.
The Villa comprises the Main Villa, Front Garden and Back Garden with Dolphin Fountain, allowing for a range of creative and unique set-ups and designs. Ceremonies tend to be conducted in the Front Garden, with adjacent courtyards utilised for welcome drinks, cocktails and canapes. The vast expanse of back garden playing host to dinner and dancing under the trees. There is no need to fear rain with this venue, as the permanent marquee situated in the back garden provides ample space to provide an excellent back up option.
The beauty of this venue, lies in the baroque architecture, bounty of trees, and abundance of florals, which all combine to create a tranquil and welcoming environment. With thoughtful design and set-up the trees also provide welcome shade from the Maltese sun. The Villa’s iconic blue doors provide a vibrant dash of colour to your momentous occasion, with a pristine aisleway for a breath-taking bridal entrance.
The venue has played host to a number of Indian weddings, with baraat entrance, fire pits and mandaps all incorporated for a memorable occasion. The venue’s exclusive caterer also has an experienced Indian chef and team at their disposal. The Limestone Villa really gives this venue a sense of authentic Rajasthan.
Villa Bologna is a simply stunning venue, and is, in our view, the most romantic venue Malta has to offer. A site visit is highly recommended to fully absorb the beauty and elegance of this simply extraordinary venue.
